Don't Love It

After attending this school for a number of years, I finally got tired of the bullying and decided to quit. The staff are more interested in how the girls look and how skinny they are, then their ability to dance. It is pretty will know that the studio owners, "like them skinny". I now dance at a studio where all are welcome and treated with respect.
- Pros: Good Studio if your thin
- Cons: Girls are catty

I went to this studio from when I was three until I was 10. I loved it there until I found ballet was my strongest, because they don't offer the kind of ballet I was looking for I went to a different studio for ballet, while still going here for everything else. When Loni found out, she "forbade" me to go anywhere else but her studio. After a while, I got sick of keeping the other studio a secret so i quit from Norettas. They have been furiouus with me since, and when I passed by them at a competition I waved to Loni, and she gave me a nasty look. I never understood why she didn't want me to be a better dancer. Since then I have moved and quit dance, I don't think this is a good studio to go to if you are looking for fair treatment for you kids.

As a former student of both Noretta and Loni (owners of Noretta Dunworth School of Dance), there was no question in my mind where to send my daughter to dance. Not only are the teachers the best in the state, they are among the best in the country. Just the other day I was speaking to a lady from New York who spoke very highly of Noretta Dunworth School of Dance. Not only do you learn how to dance, you gain confidence, pride, pose, character and passion for the art of dance. You just can't compare the love and decation this studio has to offer. Their accomplishments, awards and students prove it.
- Cons: None

The Noretta Dunworth School of Dance is the best dance studio in Dearborn - and one of the best in Michigan! They have classes for all levels of experience -- and their competition program has won many awards at national competitions. Their alumni have gone on to dance professionally. There are special training programs for male dancers, and Cecchetti classes and exams for serious ballet students. Their recitals are a class act, too. You will not regret sending your child to this fantastic studio!
- Pros: Fantastic teachers, great competition program
- Cons: None!

The Noretta Dunworth School of Dance is the best dance studio in Dearborn, and one of the best in Michigan! There are classes for all levels of students, and they have a great competition dance program. Students have gone on to dance professionally. There is also a great dance program for boys as well, which is a real plus. Cecchetti classes are available for serious ballet students. Guest choreographers like Nick Lazzarini, Chris Jacobson, Jacki Ford, and others have come to teach and choreograph for the competition students as well. And the recitals are first class all the way! Check them out before you select a studio for your child -- you'll be glad you did!

...than Noretta's is the place!
My daughter is in her 2nd year of dance at Noretta Dunworth and her 1st year of competition. She has learned soooo much here. The teachers are just fantastic and have a lot of patience with the little ones.
This is a serious dance school and it shows. I've seen other school's recitals and they pale in comparison.
PROS: top-notch dance training, great teachers
CONS: can be expensive if involved in competition
