I love this place... I drive an hour to get some of this ice cream. They even mention what ingredients are found in the ice cream. People who are looking for true homemade ice cream, look no futher...

I was at Calder's farm in Carleton and want to tell everyone if they are looking for a REAL country treat visit the farm located on Sigler Road in Carleton. Not only are the people friendly and attentive but so are the critters lol.
Pros: Plenty of Parking, working farm, worth the drive
Cons: drive time long

Not only is this ice cream rich and delicious, but you are served a very generous scoop of ice cream, not like some ice cream parlors where you get this teeny-tiny scoop.

Truly great! This homemade ice cream is wonderful! However, I think that all great things that make Detroit wonderful should have a location in the heart of downtown so all of the visitors can enjoy!
Cons: more locations, need one downtown

The best ice cream in the Detroit area hands down!! Mint Chocolate Chip and the Michigan Cherry are among the best I have ever had. Old town tastes from the butterfat on top on milk bottles to the Chocolate milk to the ice crean just can not be matched!

This place has the best dairy products (ie: Ice cream, butter, cottage cheese, milk, egg nog, eggs) in the world! Think I'm lying ????? Sample it for yourself and prove me wrong! It is definitely worth the drive! You won't be disappointed.

All I can say is WOW! It is the best ice cream i have ever had. The candy cane ice cream is the best. But then again...all of it is the best. And you get a huge amount.

Calder Brothers has the best cookies n cream I have tasted in Michigan. All their ice cream is terrific made right from their dairy farm. Others also enjoy their black cherry. MMMMMMM, MMMMM, GOOD!!!!
