Let me start by saying we have been going to Strong's for approx 10 years, should have left when Dr Fox did many years ago! Many questionable (un)diagnosis's since then. While I understand it's difficult to diagnose and treat a patient that does not speak (human that is) but as doctors of veterinary medicine it's their job to attempt and continue to attempt to diagnose and treat their patients respectively. Strong may initially have very reasonable costs for their services but recently we spent "hundreds" of dollars for nothing, NO RESULTS and NO DIAGNOSIS for six months! It wasn't until I finally left Strong's for a new vet that my dogs (Golden's) are now cured of their skin problem and were within their first treatment at the new vet. Not to mention that my dogs after all the unnecessary treatment from Strong's had compromised immune systems and all they wanted to do was pump them full of more chemicals with their vaccines, which most people know, that's not a good idea...not just in humans! This was not our first time with Strong's that one (or more) of our pets had been misdiagnosed, it seems their standard protocol for anything was to treat with antibiotics and/or steroids and to never find a cause to the problem. We had a very young puppy (golden) die in their care, which, with all due respect was probably sick from the time we brought him home from the breeder with a possible genetic defect but this puppy who was not eating properly or gaining weight properly from the beginning was never really checked for anything until it was too late and even still we do not know the exact cause of death except renal failure. Another of our dogs (golden mix) diagnosis of cancer was missed for months and was being treated for arthritis. While you may save money on your trips to Strong for your yearly vaccines and medications, just hope and pray that you pets do not become ill. Some of the staff is unfriendly and condescending.

Pros: Initial costs

Cons: cost in the long run!

Dr. Foss at Strong Vet has taken care of all our animals for at least 10 years. She remembers them all, answers any questions, even the weird ones, gives honest advice and really cares about our animals. If she doesn't have the expertise needed, she will refer us to someone who does.

I was very happy when I took my new puppy to Dr. Foss. She was very kind, knowledgable and took extra time to answer all my questions (I had quite a list). She diagnosed & prescribed medication for an intestinal parasite that spreads through young kenneled dogs very quickly & if not caught early on could even be fatal. The puppy has so much more energy since being on the medication. The clinic also has reasonably priced services. I would highly recommend Dr. Foss.

Pros: Caring, efficient, thorough, lots of parking, no waiting, all over great service.

Cons: None

She wouldn't make eye contact and was not friendly. She didn't inspire confidence in her care. Not recommended!
