A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.

nasty period.

i was enjoying my meal till i found a hair cooked onto my bonless wings. i amlost threw up. when i confronted the waitstaff they acted as if i put it there. i was not compensated or nor did anyone apoligize. it was an awful experience. so bad that it took me eight months to try another applebees in a different city.

• Cons: hair in the food. need i say more?

My favorite!

I have been to this Applebee's many times. When it comes to restaurants, I am a very picky person. Not only do I want wonderful food but a clean, relaxing and friendly environment. This place has it all!!

I have NEVER had a bad experience and it's nice to see the same familiar employees faces too. This is definately one place my family LOVES to go. We have 2 children and they love it too! My husband and I have tried many things on the menu but one of my favorites is the blackened chicken salad (not on menu anymroe but I still order it). It has a honey mustard dressing, grilled chicken, egg, carrots, etc. and is not spicey. It's wonderful....you should try it. Yummmm.

3 times and your out

One time for poor service and a lousy meal is understandable. We all have bad days. When it happens a second time within a 2 month period you start to have your doubts. But after the 3rd time you can honestly say that youll never be back. The last straw was after waiting forever to get waited on, they served my child a kiddie hotdog which had a bun so hard and stale that he couldnt even bite into it.
