Cool place by Tony F. at InsiderPages

IMAX theater's are always pretty cool places, and this one is no different. It has extremely comfortable seating, and the shows, even if they are usually pretty boring, are fun none the less, since you literally feel like you are moving. There's nothing like seeing a movie about flying, and actually feeling like you are the. Neat trick of the senses.
School groups and families enjoy loads of interactive activities in this enormous science museum.

In Short
This massive science center's bright red tiles, silver dome and glass towers ensure that school buses and station wagons have no trouble finding it. Once inside, kids of all ages roam four floors of scientific wonders, including hands-on displays that teach about everything from solar energy and holograms to fossils and nutrition. An enormous dome screen casts audiences into other worlds in the Imax Dome Theater.
Getting better all the time

The New Detroit Science Center has been rebuilt, re-thought and refitted into a beautiful new building a block or so away from its old dingy location. The venue features regulary scheduled shows and lectures and the Cinemax and the Planetarium ahve wonderful shows at reaonable prices. Teachers take classes there for special teaching opportunities and families and tourists enjoy the hands on exhibits as well, especially on the weekends. Especially helpful are the PI Society volunteers. They are scientists and technical professionals that donate their time ot the DSC and help tp explain the scientific principles to visitors. You can locate them by their white lab coats and identifying badges. I reccommend the New Detroit Science Center to anyone interested in science and technology
