Fast-food burger chain inspires cult-like devotion for its steam-grilled, all-beef Slyders.. In Short
A late-night crowd orders miniature burgers by the sackful at this castle-shaped Midwestern chain restaurant. The menu is short and sweet: hamburgers, cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, with all-beef patties steam-grilled on a pile of onions and served on square white buns with pickles. Extras like bacon and jalapeno cheese are also available, as well as non-burger options like fried chicken or fish sandwiches and sides of fries, onion rings and cheese sticks.

why not McDonalds ?. How crazy must a person be to add a CHAIN to a list of "Bests"? Of course the food is CHEAP, and tacky, and soooooo predictable. In fact if u look at the size of them 'White Castles' the Mickey D's "Big N Tasty" seems a far better deal.

Steamy mush. C'mon, you get what you pay for. White Castle burgers are full of holes so they can use less meat and steamed - the worst way to treat any beef. On top of bad food, it's slower than any "fast" food I've been in.

Slides in -- slides out. Never has then a product that is so bland in flavor been rated so highly. These burgers are too small to satisfy the palate and the service is too slow. The place is more of an irration then a dining experience.

YUM!. Some people say you have to grow up on these things to appreciate them, which I did, but I LOVE White Castle Hamburgers! The first thing I do every time I'm back in MI is to pull up to the drive through. Of course, I'll end up waiting for 20 minutes, but who cares?! And those onion chips, love 'em!

Ewww... sliders.... The wait is long, the food - less than tasty... but it's cheap... perfect for post-bar food.

Your Two Dollar Hookup!. Peep this, you got five dollars, car on "E", and a big's man hunger... what do you do? Answer: Get three dollars gas and spend the rest at the Castle. Those sliders can go a long way, even for your big man.
