awesome hangout!
by Ferngirl at Citysearch
I love hanging out here with big groups of friends - mostly for the featherbowling. Also, they have the best french onion soup I've ever tasted! Sometimes they have bands which can be fun, but I mostly just go there to hang out and sometimes eat.
- Pros: Feather bowling is super fun
- Cons: service can be kind of slow, so don't go if you are in a hur

Feather bowling and fine Belgian food bring patrons to one of the city's offbeat classics.

In Short
Feather bowling--this is the only place to do it in America--steamed mussels, and more than a dozen Belgian beers make this comfy establishment a gem. Feather bowling is similar to bocce, but the ball is replaced with wooden discs that are rolled toward a feather sticking out on either end of a sculpted dirt lane. Cadieux Cafe is decorated with wood paneling and pictures of famous Belgians.
Didn't eat here

I wanted to start with this one because I'm going to rate the food a 10 because I can't post without rating it and I want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I love this place! The bands were great and the atmosphere is wonderful. Plus, if you have never been feather bowling - do it! My only complaint is that the waitstaff didn't seem to work the "bowling" lanes - I'm not sure if that is policy or not. But, everyone was friendly and the bartender saved me from a creep so I can't complain too much!
