Feather bowling and fine Belgian food bring patrons to one of the city's offbeat classics.

In Short
Feather bowling--this is the only place to do it in America--steamed mussels, and more than a dozen Belgian beers make this comfy establishment a gem. Feather bowling is similar to bocce, but the ball is replaced with wooden discs that are rolled toward a feather sticking out on either end of a sculpted dirt lane. Cadieux Cafe is decorated with wood paneling and pictures of famous Belgians.

If you have never been to the Cadieux Cafe or feather bowling, you have to go. I have been here quite a few times with friends and family and it's so much fun. it is not located in the best of neighborhoods but it's so worth it to have a night of fun. they are open 7 days a week and have a full dinner menu and all sorts of drinks. on occasion they will have live music which is really cool. the eating area is small, looks like a typical bar setting. the area is sort of dirty, so don't wear your best clothes or white. you will have a good time, I promise!

I wanted to start with this one because I'm going to rate the food a 10 because I can't post without rating it and I want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I love this place! The bands were great and the atmosphere is wonderful. Plus, if you have never been feather bowling - do it! My only complaint is that the waitstaff didn't seem to work the "bowling" lanes - I'm not sure if that is policy or not. But, everyone was friendly and the bartender saved me from a creep so I can't complain too much!
