New to the area, read a few reviews and decided to try the salon. The receptionist was so nice and was able to squeeze me in on short notice for a color, highlight and cut on what was a very busy Saturday morning. The colorist gave me a wonderful color and highlight - better than I had even envisioned. My hair stylist gave me a great variation of a bob. She gave me some input as to what would look good and I'm glad I took her advice - I've been receiving compliments from family and friends and even have had perfect strangers at the mall compliment me and ask where I had my hair done! Really thrilled with my new look, exceptional friendly service, and clean salon. Plan on returning again and again!!

I have been going to Gina Agosta's for around eight years now. Previously, I had been to other the salons in the area and none had really surpassed my expectations. From the first time I have visited Gina's, I was very impressed. The salon is clean and always up to date. The offere a ton of great products that really do work at very reasonable prices. Like any other decent salon, make an appointment before hand. If it is Friday evening and you are trying to get in on Saturday, like any good salon they are probably going to be busy! If you make your appointment days or a week prior, they are usually really accomodating. Even if they are completely booked, the receptionist are always helpful. On more than one occasion, they have taken down my name and number, checked with my stylist and called me back with a time they could squeeze me in. My stylist has given up lunch breaks and stayed after... they are always trying to help and seem to put their clients first. For the people complaining about a rude front desk service, I agree with one of the posts that said don't ask for Maria. The receptionist Maria has been working there for as long as I have been going there and seems to just be a miserable person!! Hang up and call back or ask to speak to someone else and I gaurantee you won't have any problems. I would bet that the people complaining about the front desk service are all complaining about her. Trust me, I've dealt with her too! Just don't work with her! Problem solved. All the other younger girls are really nice and know what they are talking about. The prices are very fair. For the cheap people complaining about the prices, don't go to a nice salon if you don't want to pay the prices. I have seen many friends pay higher prices for worse service.... now they go to Gina's. There is a reason so many people have been going there for so many years... I would never go to another salon!

Pros: Educated, professional, honest, friendly, fair pricing... spa is great too!

I have been going to Gina Agosta's Salon for the past 5 years and love it. I always walk in tense and frenzied and walk out relaxed and feeling glamorous! The entire staff does whatever they can to make me comfortable and makes sure all of my needs are met. I've tried several different stylists and colorists and i am continually impressed with the professionalism they've shown me. As for the person that claims to have had bad experience at Gina Agosta's, I don't believe for a second that they would not re-do your hair until you're happy with it. I've had a style, on occasion, that I haven't been comfortable with and they always offer to re-do my hair until I am 100% satisfied. One more thing- when you write a review, use spell check and read it over to check for errors! It's not that difficult! (A big pet peeve of mine!)

I thought I would try Gina Agosta for a change from my regular salon and try something new and fresh! BIG MISTAKE ! From the second I walked in I felt uncomfortable from the rude people at the front desk. I got dirty looks from the few stylist who were working their (place was pretty empty) Then came the worst part, i am open minded to change a a professional opinion from a stylist but I din not like what she suggested and i let her know what I wanted and she got an attitude! I couldn't get out of their fast enough , I will never go back!

Pros: I don't have to go back!

Cons: The whole place!

1st time customer, got a super haircut by KAM. She was friendly, listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions without being overbearing. I got more than what I could have hoped for; the haircut I wanted and with her extra special touches my hair looked better than it's looked for years. She brought me up to date with flair. I have found my new stylist for sure.

Pros: clean and friendly, a salon with room to move around without knocking into other people

As soon as you walk in the door you will see the best costumer service. I've never been to a salon where the people are so wonderful, and treat you with so much respect. I've been going there for 5 years, and have sent all my friends and family there too! We all enjoy our visits. I think its great how they are departmentalized, I will see any of the colorist or stylist, because I know that they are very well trained and I am always in great hands. I highly recommend this salon!

Gina Agosta Salon is a great place to go for your personal services! The very friendly staff is very accomodating from the front desk, to the stylists, to the girls helping clean! Where do you go where the owners are helping sweep for their staff, or asking the clients themselves if they need anything to drink? This family owned company is very friendly and i have highly recommend to all my friends!

Pros: highly trained staff!

Cons: book early!! very busy!!

Not impressed at all with the service. The hair cut and conditioning treatment I got, not surprising. I am pretty sure I could’ve got the same service at a much cheaper price anywhere else. My understanding of a great salon is outstanding service, but this place doesn’t offer anything great; it’s kind of clean, yes; sort of nice, maybe; but its is FAR FROM A GOOD HAIR SALON. The service would be acceptable if they would charge at least half of the price.

in response to the review from twilight823 I had Ashley color and cut my hair about 2 months ago and it was a horrible experience, Just like all the other bad reviews say about their experience being bad that is the real truth. Everything from a horrible hair job to stuck up rude receptionist , It obvious Gina (the owner)wrote the last review trying to do some damage control. I mean what average customer know what the Tiffany award is? Trust me i stopped going to Gina Agosta months ago and I am quite happy with my new salon. Twilight823 say to go to Fantastic Sams I think that Gina agostas could learn some things from fantastic sams. The whole point of CitySearch is for the general public to rate local business' and from all these bad reviews this many dissatisfied clients cant be wrong and the owner of Gina Agosta should spend her time fixing her real problems rather than writing reviews on her site thats not going to fix all her problems from untrained stylist to rude receptionist which is all a reflection of a bad owner. I was a former client of gina agosta and i have no reason to lie dont go here

Honestly, I adore this place. I don't understand why so many people are complaining. It was clean, people were having fun, and they were easy to talk to. Its once in a great while that i find people who are easy to talk to. I read through all of your reviews and it only seems like maria, and the lady at the service desk who seems to be the problem. So its simple don't ask for maria, I suggest a girl named Ashley she does amazing work, and I'm hoping she wins the tiffany award for coloring. I don't believe the prices are high at all, I mean fantastic sam's is only a little cheaper and 90% they screw up. Which reminds me where ever you go theres a chance of having a bad hair cut, perm, or coloring.So really, I would trust this place more than others even if they messed up once (which they haven't). They've won many awards in every category, the people there are pretty nice, and they are professionals. I'm sorry you guys had such a bad experience, but for anyone who is reading these reviews I say try it for yourself then decide because I'm certain 95% will love this place
